The Aberdeen Mycorrhiza Research Group draws on the expertise and facilities available in the University of Aberdeen and the Macaulay Institute to support a wide range of research projects investigating the biology of mycorrhizal symbioses.
The Group has access to excellent molecular, analytical and microscopy laboratories and plant growth facilities. Aberdeen is convenient for access to field sites in a wide range of managed and unmanaged ecosystems including native Scots Pine forest and montane vegetation. The Group also has projects in Tropical Rain Forest and the High Arctic.
